CrowdSync Technology teamed up with Iron Man to light up the runners at the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Francisco half marathon in 2019. In addition to adding an element of excitement to the race, our controllable LED wristbands were used to notify all 6000 racers of important checkpoints and milestones.
At the start of the race, before the sunrise, we were able to let the participants know when it was their time to start by lighting up the wristbands group by group using our radio frequency controller. We also positioned transmitters along the way that allowed us to light up the wristbands during the race to increase awareness of checkpoints. About ⅓ of the way in, we had all wristbands light up blue honoring service members who lost their lives during their years of active duty service.
At the end of the day, there was a party for all the runners. CrowdSync was setup near the concert stage, controlling the wristbands to the music.
